This blog has discussed bike racks, ceiling racks, wall racks and pretty much anything bike storage related. Well, today I want to discuss something that is indirectly related to the storage of your bicycle and gear. Most people store their bikes in the garage or in a shed, and are forced to share this space with a variety of other everyday items, one of which is garage tools. Everybody needs them; few know how to store them. I have a couple of suggestions for garage tool organizers that will clear up space in your garage, providing you with the storage necessary for your fleet of bicycles.

garage tool organizer

Floor space in the garage is important if you want it to function at its maximum efficiency. This is why I suggest using wall or ceiling racks for your bicycle storage. Well, the same principle is at work here with your larger garage tools. Items such as weed-whackers, rakes, shovels, hoes, chainsaws and ladders take up so much floor space when they are not being used; floor space that would be the perfect place to tweak your spokes or fix a broken bike seat! I would recommend checking out the tool wall organizers over at StacksandStacks.com, where you can find magnetic wall racks, heavy duty wall racks, and even a simple pegboard for your tool storage.
Another suggestion for garage storage deals less with saving space and more with saving time. Don’t you hate it when all you need to do to finish your bike-building project is fasten a few screws, but your disorganized garage makes you spend an extra hour just searching for a Phillips head screw driver? Well add some bin storage to your garage and know exactly where everything is, at all times! Most of the bin storage units at Stacks and Stacks include place holders for labels, ensuring you will never waste time searching for tools again.
I know today’s post was a bit tangential, but I just finished cleaning up my garage and was inspired to share what I learned from the experience with you, my dedicated readers.

Well, you certainly don’t have to be a super-human type being to get up on the ceiling. And you don’t have to be a rock climber hang upside down. And you really don’t need to work for the phone company, either. How do you do it? Let me explain to you how. Feast you eyes on some serious awesomeness. This amazing Aluminum Overhead Garage Rack and Hoist takes your bike, and HANGS IT!

Pretty neat, huh? The first time I installed one back in 2003, my kids and I stood and stared. My ex-wife said it looked like a scene out of her favorite film, “E.T. The Extra Terrestrial”. She was exactly right, and the Aluminum Overhead Garage Rack’s tough cam lock and frame is exactly right as well. You know what? It also holds ladders, if your bike is out in the shop. Or you’re out riding it. It’ll actually safely hoist up anything you want, up to 75 pounds! That was great for my cramped garage, when it existed. There just so much stuff around in there, the Aluminum Overhead Garage Rack really helps. It helps your bike “rise above”! (Ha-ha, sorry, bad pun.)

I’d nab one of these Aluminum Overhead Garage Racks quick, and hang your goods up, if I were you. You’ll be envied by your neighbors, and like I said, your kids will love watching things float up there. Mine used to. And my new fiance was so happy after I bought one, that she said that she could overlook all of my “wacky eccentricities” because I finally came though on something I said I could: I made a bike float in the air. Ha-ha! Peace!

I love the outdoors, and I love bikes, and I love my family! Remember that guy who combined the phone with the iPod? Well, I also like to combine the things I love! Best weekend ever: me, my daughter Tess and my wife Lauren all headed out to Diamond Park, out to the amazing paved bike trail they have there. We had a great time. Really, really great. We biked all day long, each with our own bikes!

You know, getting all those bikes out to place as neat and bike-friendly as Diamond Park is no easy feat, but my friends at STACKS AND STACKS have the perfect solution! And you know what? It made my trip possible! Check out this awesome Car Bike Rack - 3 Bike. It holds THREE BIKES!

Yep, the Car Bike Rack - 3 Bike attaches to the SUV and holds our bikes safely and securely, so there are no accidents. And it gets all our bikes out to the farthest paths, or just around the corner to the local ones! It’s a real sturdy and easy to install deal, and it has soft vinyl cushioning, which is grooved, to keep your bikes unscratched. Boy I like this Car Bike Rack - 3 Bike, and I think you will too, if you have the a large family and the need for a large bike racks. I tell my wife, “no more having kids honey”, because the Car Bike Rack - 3 Bike won’t hold any new bikes! Ha-ha. Just kidding. We’ll get a bike rack that holds FOUR. Good Luck!

Jeez, how about this guy? He’s headin’ for a brusin’ — or crusin’ for a hurtin’. If only we could save him from his fate, with like a really neat futuristic device that could change the way gravity works, like really just make sure he didn’t clobber his face and more importantly wreck that sweet bike, simply by using a device that could stop gravity in it’s tracks and by extension stop this guy and his bike in their tracks so he didn’t wreck that cool bike and break face, which he’s about to do. Man, too bad it’s only 2010 (almost 2011, ha-ha) and no one has invented that futuristic thing yet, and when they do, they should invent a futuristic time machine so they can go back in time and stop this guy from eating it. But hey, maybe he didn’t crash his bike into that rock, sending him over the edge of that cliff, maybe gravity DID stop, maybe gravity stopped, and everyone was so freaked out that some forward-thinking guy actually had time to go run and get his camera and take a photo of this biker floating in midair. Maybe. I doubt it. You don’t mess with gravity. But what I don’t doubt, is the coolness of this similarly titled bike-rack, the Gravity Bike Rack. Cool!! Right? It’s from Stacks.

A bicycle stand built for two! The space-saving Gravity Bike Rack holds 2 bicycles and helmets securely and needs no installation. Just choose a location and place the bike-rack against any wall. That’s all! No drilling into walls, and no mounting hardware. For added convenience, this unique bike storage stand has two hooks to hang riding helmets. Rubber pads on the back of the rack protect your wall. Perfect for apartments, condos, garages, homes and anywhere space is limited or permanent markings are prohibited. Arms can be partially rotated. Bike rack extends 12.5″ from the wall. Made of sturdy steel tubing. Weight limit is 100 pounds. Good luck!

I don’t know about what is happening to me here, but I am under attack by a weird INTERNET BLOGGER. That’s the worst level of attacker you can ever have, a step below fire ants or bed bugs or crabs. INTERNET BLOGGERS, when they get agitated, are tiny, and annoying, and they burn, and they keep you from doing what you’d rather be doing, which is writing about Bike Racks. Somewhere off in some sad corner of the internet, Wine Racks Blog tells all about Wine Racks and this chick Wineracks Molly I guess is really excited about those Wine Racks. Most of the weird blog is boring and stupid and dumb and retarded. Also spurious. But when you get down to the nitty-gritty and add up the pieces of feces, I’d say this Molly is mostly delusional and scary. Check out this post… this lie cupcake with ca-ca cream filling she baked up:

As you know, I’ve recently become aware of the blog that is called Bike Racks Blog, the blog that is known as the most dangerous site on the internet. I recently tried to have a conversation with Mr. Larry Wilson, the proprietor of the blog, but of course, I should have known better. You can’t reason with madmen. But still, I wanted to reach out, even though people advised me against it. I guess it seems naive, but I wanted to try to understand the person that would post such things like Cold, Chilling Holiday Nights demand you chill out with some stone-cold Holiday Deals!? Here is a transcription of that interview.

News Flash: She made that up. She never spoke with me.
BREAKING NEWS FLASH: I’m mad as hell, and Bike Racks Blog is going to war.

Yes, you guessed correctly… when Bike Racks blog is pushed, we go on the offended. We fight back to back, serving up hot angry soup. We strike when its less expected. We attack like clones and stick like a tack. We unleash Biblical levels of allegory. IT IS WAR, Wine Racks Blog. WAR. But please don’t worry long-time readers: attacking dumb hate blogs will not stop us from doing what we do best, which is finding the very coolest in Bike Racks, usually at Stacks and Stacks, usually at a very reasonable price, usually awesome. But we can’t forget that we were slander-libeled and libel-slandered by a libelous-slanderous herky-jerky wino. So the FIGHT BEGINS!

First thing I did was a reverse traceroute ping to locate the IP timestamp and compared reverse traceroute paths with traceroutes issued from the destination ping hops seen in directly measured traceroutes along the same ping path. It didn’t take me long to zero in on the computer Wine Racks Blog posts lie posts from. And it didn’t take me long to camp out on the street in front of the house where the computer Wine Racks Blog posts lie posts from is located. And it didn’t take me long to photograph the idiot.

That’s her, Bike Racks Blog League of Bike Rack Fans. So let’s GET HER. Let’s visit her site and leave comments and tell her how great THIS site is. Let’s type “Bike Racks Blog” into Google as many times as we can to get the #1 spot on Google Trends and embarrass her and blow away her traffic. Let’s not purchase any Wine Racks and kill the Wine Rack industry and then leave her nothing to talk about. Then she’ll have nothing to talk about but ME, so she can change the name of her blog to Unhealthy Obsession With Bike Racks Blog and then I’ll sue her for copyright violation.

So hey, do you need a bike rack that can accommodate many styles of bikes, in case you need to, I don’t know, convert them into one big flying justice death machine doling out beeatch bombs of megaton ninja vengeance? Then this is the one for you. It’s a really sweet Garage Gator Motorized Storage System. Garage storage for all your heavy toys has never been easier with the Garage Gator Motorized Storage System. The keylock safety switch allows you to lower or raise everything from bikes to gold bags, canoes to kayaks and much more. The Garage Gator is perfect for garage organization as it frees up floor space. 5″ model holds up to 125 lbs. 10″ model holds up to 220 lbs. Comes with a standard 110v plug and all hardware needed for simple install. But I digress…

It’s on friends. It’s on like Tron. Like Donkey Kong Marathon. I declare war on Wine Racks Blog, and I will not stop. Ever.

Molly better realize she just woke up the sleeping giant white whale, and THIS giant white whale she won’t be able to stop with just a slingshot and three magic beans.

Winning.

I am not exactly sure what to make of this bike. How do you ride it? What do you do when you’re riding it except pray that you don’t fall? And maybe die? Why is this invention please? Making no sense and then! Still, better than nothing or bicyckle then of course not at all of course. I’m all for innovative innovation, but sometimes you have to know when to quit when you’re ahead. And judging from the odd shape and fprm of this bizarre bike, the inventor, a Mr. Nickosla Tezla, should have not invented it. Why, it would take something impressive, like a Small Mountain Bike Rack from Stacks and Stacks just to keep this thing from falling over!

Well, it looks like this fellow didn’t have a Small Mountain Bike Rack at his disposal.
AHHGH! BIGFOOT! Like there isn’t enough danger out there for the modern bike enthusiast, we’re faced with a pwefora of reports from the northwestern seaboard about Yeti Strikes on unsuspecting bicyclists. Horrible. The AP is filing story after story about lone bike riders, out on lonely forest paths, who unexpected run into this loner, this cryptozoological behemoth, and are scared senseless. While common sense thinking would have us bike-fans sticking to the tried-and-true streets and bike paths of our towns and cities, I refuse to accept that we can no longer journey into nature. I will not relinquish my right to load my car with 4 of my favorite bikes, using the aforementioned 4 Bike Car Bike Rack from Stacks and Stacks, and head into the great wilderness.

If you’re with me, and want to head out to the northwest territories and ride bikes, you’d better believe the 4 Bike Car Bike Rackis your best bet. This awesome car bike rack provides the ultimate in flexibility to accommodate today’s wide variety of bike frame designs while still maintaining all the advantages of having a hitch mounted bike rack.
Jeez, how about this guy? He certainly thinks he’s cool. Kids seem to do that. They act smart, crack wise, and mouth off. And when you mix dangerous levels of self-confidence, a 4th grade intellect, and allow no filter, you get… this blog! Ha-ha. Just kidding. No, really, you get kids! And poor kids; those poor, poor kids. After they are done acting smarter than adults and sassing elders, they notice that their bike is stolen. But wait, son, I thought you were so smart! I thought I told you to chain and lock your bike to a rack when you got to the park, and you told me you didn’t need to! Stop crying, son! I thought you were so certain of your world, a world that no longer includes your bike. How did you think your bike was stolen? Can you think of anything, anything at all that could have prevented thieves from taking your bike, forever? Anything that I suggested to you before you went to the park? No? Really? Smart-ass kids. They often end up with no bikes. I doubt things will even change. But what I don’t doubt, is the coolness of this playfully titled bike-rack, the Indoor/Outdoor Poly Lumber Bike Rack. Cool!! Right? It’s from Stacks.

Tired of tripping over those kid-sized bikes in your garage? Sick of near-misses with bikes left laying in the driveway? Take a close look at the Indoor/Outdoor Poly Lumber Bike Rack. This bike rack can hold both child and adult sized bikes! That means this bike rack has a capacity of up to 8 bicycles. It is crafted out of Poly Lumber - which is lumber mixed with plastic. That means the bike rack won’t split, or rot away - plus the color will last for many years without fading. The black pipes are aluminum, and the hardware is stainless steel. Instructions and necessary hardware included, all you need is a 7/16″ wrench for assembly! And kids, remember: even if you ignore grown-up advice to lock and rack your bike, be sure to follow the advice of those big yellow signs. Good luck!

Brrrr. Winter is here today, friends! The Holidays and Santa are on the way! Woo-hoo! That means peak bike-related gift buying days ahead! I can’t wait for the undoubtedly great gifts I’ll receive this year from all my friends and fans of this blog! The Holidays are great because not only do you find values but you can get so many things for free if you just ask for them and the people you ask shop at the right places and like you enough to get you great things and not weak gifts or “gag” gifts because those are the worst! And you now what is the best part of the holidays? Christmas trees!! You know what other kinds of trees are cool? Bike rack trees! Check out this crazy cool Bike Tree. Cool!! Right?

Now, isn’t this the PERFECT GIFT FOR A WRITER OF A BIKE BLOG (me)? Hint, hint. Ha-ha. This Heavy Duty Bike Tree is a new bike storage system. This bicycle rack holds two bikes on its patented arm assembly that can move up and down as well as side to side for perfect positioning. And what makes this bike tree so cool, so really special, is that it holds any style of bike! Think about that for one second, then TRY not to order one! It features a powder coated steel tube construction that is both durable and stylish! And get ready, because this unique bike rack stands 84″ tall and the vinyl coated arms will not scratch or mar the paint! Dude, really. AND it holds up to 120 pounds and requires some assembly, no tools needed!
Pretty sweet. Pretty wild. Pretty bike rack! Good luck!
